May 7, 2004 — Motion Fairs and Seminars

Vickers-Warnick welcomed over 50 individuals to two days of Motion Control Fairs and Seminars held in Guelph on May 4th, 2004 and Woodbridge on May 5th, 2004.

Attendees representing a wide variety of Ontario Manufacturing companies had the opportunity to browse tabletop displays where the focus was on several new products recently introduced by Danaher Motion. Vickers-Warnick’s Motion Control Application Engineers were available to discuss application-related issues as well as answer questions regarding these exciting new products. Chris Simo a Danaher Field Sales Engineer spoke on two very worthwhile subjects, Introduction to Communication Buses and Direct Drive Technology.

Seminar one featured an Introduction to Communication Buses. Those in attendance were provided an overview of Communication Bus systems typically used in the industry today, with an emphasis on those related to Motion Controllers.

Seminar two featured an Introduction to Direct Drive Technology and specifically the introduction of the Cartridge Direct Drive new technology introduced by Danaher Motion. The Cartridge DDR features a housed motor and feedback without bearings – meaning a maintenance free product with simple installation and worry-free alignment.

The Tabletop displays featured several new products introduced by Danaher Motion in the last six months, specifically:
