During every school year, a number of students are injured in the shop class while operating equipment such as table saws, band saws, jointers, planes, drill presses, lathes, and milling machines.
The Vickers-Warnick G.A.A.P. program is designed to ensure the on-going safety of students and
staff around potentially dangerous shop equipment. Vickers-Warnick applies the same standards the Ministry of Labour mandates to maintain safe working environments for employees.
Vickers-Warnick has specialized in providing machine safety and guarding solutions for over 20 years by combining best in class safety and guarding products with a team of experienced specialists to evaluate, recommend and implement cost effective machine safety solutions.
VICKERS-WARNICK GUARDING AND ASSESSMENT PROCESS (G.A.A.P) FOR SCHOOLS

- Baseline Audit of each classroom.
- A report detailing safety and guarding vulnerabilities for each classroom.
- Specific recommendations to make each classroom safety standards compliant.
- A detailed budget for products and installation services for making each classroom safety standards compliant.

- Validate safety and guarding standards for new machinery and on machines that have been relocated or modified (supported by an online data base that maintains machine inventory and current safety and operating condition information).
